For those who were wondering if Doug actually played the trumpet on last week's show- definitely (no wonder I titled this blog "A Few Quick NOTES")! Doug plays many instruments, as well as writing and arranging music- and trumpet was always his main instrument, followed by keyboard.

Also, I wanted to give you a heads-up : during this Saturday night's show, I'm happy to announce that there will be two segments featuring highlights from the Chicago Museum of Broadcast Communications event in  my honor-including the unveiling of the permanent display of my original coffin and set pieces.
